Is there a difference between grilling and BBQ?

The difference between cooking on the grill and the barbecue is denoted by two things.

These are temperatures and the time of cooking.

Preparing food on the grill is quite fast on high heat while on the other hand the barbecue is slow and takes more hours, especially during indirect heating.
